Bermuda Riviera is another amazing small neighborhood on Fort Lauderdale’s barrier island just north of Dolphin Isles with the ocean on one side and the intracoastal waterway on the other. Many of the homes are directly on the intracoastal with the rest on wide, short canals. There are many mid-rise condo buildings dotting the beach in the popular Galt Ocean Mile area. The popular Lauderdale by the Sea with it’s small-town feel is at the end of Commercial Blvd where it meets the ocean. This is a great area with many restaurants and shops on shore and a fishing pier and coral reefs with lots of aquatic life in the water.

This is a great location for all types. There is affordable condo living on the Galt and beautiful waterfront homes along the intra-coastal with small beach town amenities within walking distance and still close to downtown Ft. Lauderdale. There is plenty of shopping along A1A and anything you can’t find there, Federal Hwy is just across the bridges to the west. There are several access points to get to the beach in-between the condos if you live on the intra-coastal side of the neighborhood. The beach is in your backyard, golf at the Coral Ridge Country Club is 5 minutes away, downtown Fort Lauderdale is 15 minutes away and the International Airport is 20.

From Bermuda Riviera, you are about equidistant from the Dania inlet and the Hillsboro inlet. It will take you about 15 minutes to get out to sea in either direction. All bridges along the intracoastal open frequently or on demand. Most lots here have 80’ of waterfront with many point lots or double lots having 100+ feet. Subtact 5’ from your waterfront amount and that’s the size boat you can legally have at your dock. The intracoastal is around 300’ wide and the canals vary from 110-180’ wide. You can take up 1/3 of the canal including your dock and boat so this area gives you plenty of space for any sized boat. These are deep canals but it varies so check the nautical charts for more accurate information on specific canals. Obviously if you are on the ocean, you can’t park your boat out front and will have to accommodate it elsewhere.
