neighborhood map

Las Olas Isles has been the place for the rich and famous to call home for many years and everything keeps getting bigger! houses, lots, boats … The neighborhood is made up entirely of islands and canals with Las Olas Blvd. as the main street. I’m grouping the smaller neighborhoods of Riviera Isles, Seven Isles, Nurmi Isles, Idlewyld, Sunrise Key, Hendricks Isle, Venice Isle, and the eastern edge of Victoria Park into one to make things easy. This is luxury, exclusive living at its best where some of the homes look more like private resorts rather than humble abodes.

Almost every lot is waterfront so you can park your yacht along the dock in your backyard. On the south side of Las Olas, it’s a straight shot out to open water under the 17th St. Causeway with its 55’ clearance when it’s closed. It will open upon request anytime at 15 min. intervals if necessary. On the north side, you also need to go under the Las Olas Blvd. bridge which has a 24’ clearance and opens on demand. It takes 10-15 minutes to get out to sea. Some of the point lots wrap around giving you 300-400’ of waterfront but most lots are around 100’ so your dockage is 90’, plenty of room for everyone! The canals are almost all between 90-120’ wide except the ones around Hendricks and Venice Isles at 160’ wide. You can take up 1/3 of the canal including your dock and boat so this area gives you plenty of space for any sized boat. Depth varies from 4-12’ so check the nautical charts for more accurate information on specific canals.

Mostly single family homes of the large and expensive variety make up the neighborhood with condos, apartments, and several small boutique resorts on Hendricks and Venice Isles. A small commercial district on the eastern end of Las Olas has a gas station, convenience store, several small shops, and the fabulous Chima Brazilian steakhouse restaurant. You can walk or ride your bike to the beach on the eastern side and to the world famous shopping district on Las Olas to the west. Downtown Ft. Lauderdale and the International Airport are just 15 minutes away. Click here for a customized list of homes or condos available in Las Olas Isles emailed directly to you.
